“Bring One for the Chipper” at Grant Park | Environment

On Saturday, January 8th the Grant Park Conservancy (GPC) will host the environmental initiative, “Bring One for the Chipper”. GPC has been involved in this program for ten years. Once the trees are chipped, they are then used in the park for erosion control, to protect sensitive planting areas and to provide habitats for small mammals and birds.

The “Bring One for the Chipper” promotion is free of charge. Participants must bring an unadorned Christmas tree and the Conservancy will handle the rest. Parking for this event is free.
