ATLANTA -- The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble will hold their Spring Concert Finale on Thursday, May 16, and is inviting all residents to hear them play. 

The Southwest Arts Center is the venue of the concert, located at 915 New Hope Road. Showtime is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Performance Center. 

The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble is directed by Carolyn Lund, and is made up of 50 African American harpists. Those who attend the performance can enjoy light concert pieces and movie themes. It is free admission for the public. 

ATLANTA -- On June 8, Historic Oakland Foundation will present the third annual Tunes from the Tombs music festival at Historic Oakland Cemetery, featuring bands and musicians from Atlanta and beyond performing an eclectic blend of music from every genre, including Americana, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Funk, Classical, Country and Blues.

Two main music stages will be located in and around extraordinary monuments, mausoleums and renowned gardens while buskers and street performers entertain visitors throughout the cemetery grounds. To soothe your spirits, Tunes from the Tombs will have plenty of beer and wine, plus local Atlanta food trucks will be serving a variety of tasty festival fair.

This event begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Tickets prices for adults are $10 in advance online through Ticket Alternative, $15 at the gate. Ticket price for children from 4-12 years old is $5, children 3 and under are free.
