ATLANTA -- This fall, Grape Crush Productions and Bloomingdale’s are bringing Atlanta’s premier chefs to the kitchen of one of the city’s most celebrated shopping destinations for a monthly event where guests will enjoy a guided tasting of artisan wines, a cooking demonstration by some of the city’s most celebrated chefs and preview the latest in home and fashion décor along with exclusive savings at Bloomingdale’s in Lenox Square mall. 

A celebration of food and fashion, this month the Chefs in the City event brings beloved Southern chef and cookbook author Virginia Willis to the store’s state-of-the-art demo kitchen on Oct. 27, from 6-8 p.m.

ASO to honor Metro Atlanta music teachers

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will hold an appreciation ceremony for more than 180 Atlanta-area music teachers Friday evening.

The teachers will be recognized at 7 p.m. by ASO president Stanley Romanstein. Afterward, the instructors will attend the evening's concert featuring the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov and Mussorgsky.

ASO cellist Joel Dallow will also receive a special award from Romanstein for his arts education advocacy work throughout Georgia.

Both the 8 p.m. concert and the preceding reception will take place at the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Midtown.

After a sensational and fully sold-out first run at the Center for Puppetry Arts, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ is soaring back into town to once again charm Atlanta audiences this holiday season. You won’t want to miss this faithful adaptation of the wonderful holiday tradition that speaks to the misfit in all of us.

Adapted and directed by the Center’s Artistic Director, Jon Ludwig, the production is based on the beloved 1964 stop-motion animated special and provides the audience with the opportunity to experience the timeless tale of Rudolph and his misfit friends live on stage. Opening on November 3, Ludwig’s faithful adaptation includes all of the beloved characters such as Hermey, the elf who is an aspiring dentist, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster.
