ATLANTA, Ga. – In the case of an Atlanta woman, cupcakes and causes have the potential to offer sweet rewards.

Atlanta resident, Christine Blake poved that a little baking can go a long way by winning the Duncan Hines Cupcake Challenge.  Later this month, Blake will get the chance to attend the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards show as a result of her winning and Duncan Hines will donate $100,000 to the Share Our Strength non-profit organization.

Blake was chosen as one among five winners of the contest. According to the contest, Blake is a baker who "sticks to the basics to create delicious desserts, like her favorite Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Classic White Cake recipe".

The Cupcake Challenge partnered with Share Our Strength’s “Great American Bake Sale”, which works to raise money to help end childhood hunger, and participants hosted bake sales as fundraisers.

To date, more than $6 million has been raised for Share Our Strength through bake sales, and Duncan Hines will also commit $125,000 in matching funds.
